The current Hotel New York was built in 1901 as headquarters for the Holland America Line--extremely important for transatlantic shipping. It was designed by architects Müller and Droogleever Fortuyn and built in phases; it was was later extended by Van der Tak. Views of the entrance facade with atlantes figures.
