The west end and details
The east end One of the Rice students told me as I was taking pictures of this side that he thought Rice had run out of money when constructing this building since it lacked windows. The blind arcades are, of course, one of the decorative features.
The continuous north elevation. The long mass (about 500 feet) is broken up by the two gabled pavilions. Diagonal brick designs decorate the gables as well as the arches above the second-story windows.
