Jorge M. Perez Architecture Center, University of Miami--page 2 (of three pages)

View from the side

The auditorium is connected to the long rectangular classroom and exhibition wing by a breezeway. A free-standing colonnade runs along one side of this wing. (See below.) Wires attach it to the building, perhaps for climbing vines? (These photos were taken soon after the opening of the building).

Center photograph also shows one of the Bauhaus-inspired modernist buildings by Marion Manley, also part of the School of Architecture complex.

Views from the rear

Blind arcades on the side (with window in the bottom portion) of the building echo the free-standing arcade. Odd-shaped ornaments decorate the roof corners.
