Philip Johnson
1949-1995

DA MONSTA

Completed c.1995, Modified gunnite construction, 990 square feet. Multiple sources of inspiration inspire this post-modern work from German Expressionism (Hermann Finsterlin) to Johnson's friend Frank Stella's design for an art museum. This non-rectilinear work is at the farthest extreme from Johnson's initial International style works. See the Philip Johnson Index.
