Internal courtyards with dramatic lights and shadows connecting various structures

For Legorreta these courtyards add mystery and intrigue. These shadowy spaces, sometimes filled with foliage and trees, contrast strikingly with the huge Juarez Plaza he designed in Mexico City.

 
The tall building in the back is Tishman Hall. Apparently it also has a small courtyard, in canary yellow??

 
 
 

Large courtyard for the Thaw Art History Center

See next page as well for additional photos. The Art History Center is comprised of classrooms, seminar rooms and offices for faculty art department staff. In the center of this courtyard is the art history library.
