Bridge of Glass: Crystal Towers and the Venetian Wall--page 2 (of two pages)

		The central section of the bridge with the 40-foot tall Crystal Towers Each has 63 large crystals, hollow and "glacial blue" according to Chihuly. They are made of Polyvitro, a polyurethane material that can weather the elements better than glass.

	Looking up from the Glass Museum to the back of the Venetian Wall The 80-foot long wall has natural back lighting during the day and with lights illuminating the glass sculptures at night. This installation displays 109 glass pieces by Chihuly from several different periods in his career--some from his Venetian series, thus the name, but also from series called Ikebana and Putti.
