Left: Muong basket;

The round basket made of vines held women's personal objects (jewelry, sewing utensils, betel nut). The rectangular basket of bamboo with indigo dye held marriage clothing and jewelers.
 

Baskets with straps

Some baskets have straps serving as belts so the basket is carried around the waist. Others have shoulder or head straps.
