French colonial bandstand, Indira Ghandi Park

French architect?
early 20th cdentury?

French colonists brought to Vietnam their art and architecture, their entertainments, their food. Today one can still get wonderful baguettes and good strong coffee. This bandstand is a reminder of French tastes in entertainment. See also the beautiful Hanoi Opera House. (The water puppet theater is only a few block away if one wants authentic Vietnamese entertainment!)
