Acquired by the Amon Carter Museum in 1962, these three large bronzes stand in the plaza in front of the Museum. |
| Although the titles are not referential, the grouping of three upright works, with the central one in a cross shape, has often been compared to the Christian crucifixion scene. Upright Motive # 1 (center) has symbols of the passion and a ladder engraved on the bronze surface. In collaboration with Moore, Philip Johnson, the architect for the Museum, designed the black Quebec granite base. | ||
