So long, this basilica is hard to see, much less photograph

The present spacious church in Baroque style was begun in the late 17th century by Charles II, King of Spain. Modification continued to be made and in the learly 18th century the architect Ventura Rodríguez transformed the building into its present dimensions of 130 meters long by 67 wide, with four towers.
