| Antoni Tàpies is Catalonia's best-known living artist. His foundation in the Eixample occupies the former Modernista Editorial Montaner i Simon, a publishing house designed by Domènech i Montaner in the 1880s. It was recently renovated and opened in 1990 as an art gallery. The winding tube sculpture, like an abstract drawing, occupies the void between the two flanking buildings. | |
