Museum of Contemporary Art (MACBA) (page 1 of 2)

Richard Meier
1992-95

Like other works by Meier, this museum has a white facade, these white surfaces being a trademark of his style. He uses white to heighten the visual forms since white surfaces magnify the play of light and shadow. Pure geometric forms characterize his plans. Curvilinear elements recur at the end, at the front entrance (a cylinder), and at the rear--see next page.
