Fish (Peix

Frank O. Gehry
1990-1992
bronze colored stainless steel
115 feet high; 177 feet long

Architectural sculpture

This huge sculpture, sometimes called The Golden Fish, is high above the ground and partly joined to an hotel. The skin is a kind of bronze mesh with the underlying support exposed. Gehry added wings so this flying fish adds a bit of fantasy to this end of the boardwalk.
