Just as the bus terminal structures allude to the nearby sea, the glass and steel canopies over the 8 train tracks suggest natural forms--some say palm trees or lilies. In addition, this scalloped awning, 25 meters high, is also compared to the vaults of British Perpendicular Gothic churches.
 

The elevated train platforms

The train station platform is raised above grade so that streets could run underneath the railway. The structural elements are painted stark white.
