Alexander Jackson Davis (1803-1892), who had a partnership with Ithiel Town, designed state capitols for Connecticut, Indiana, and North Carolina as well as Ohio. Although he created works in a number of revival styles, he was a major contributor to the Greek Revival in the United States.
