Tower at Erieview (100 Erieview Plaza)

International style--cigar box on end

This 40-story office tower was part of an urban renewal plan initiated in the 1960s. Like other skyscrapers by this team, it uses elements of the International style--the glass curtain wall, the shaft without setbacks, and the basic rectangular form.

The top

For a time a restaurant was housed at the top of the tower, providing breath-taking views of the city.
