The south side of the addition

 

Crumpling column on south facade

This aluminum-clad "sculpture" disguises a structural pillar. According to the museum pamphlet, it suggests a modern Atlas, straining under the weight of the modernist gallery box.

 
 

Roof cloud

Its main supports are the Video Box and the Elevator Tower. (See views of interior.)
