According to Montrésor, this attribute is represented as the "liberation of the earth from monsters, personified by Hercules who has just slain the cattle-thief Cacus (a frequent subject in medieval iconography)"(83). This relief is attributed to Andrea Pisano.

East Side: Agriculture or Homogirus

This relief is attributed to Andrea Pisano.
