| This church is based on a central plan, like Sant'Andrea al Quirinale, but in this case a circle, not an oval. The Pantheon was probably the most immediate source since here there is a domed cylindrical area with an extended temple-like portico in the front. Curved palace sections embrace the church on each side. |
