Temple of Concordia, 430 BCE

This Doric temple (peripteral hexastyle) is one of the best preserved outside of Greece. All the temples in this so-called valley (actually more of a ridge) are constructed of rich red sandstone. Originally the easily eroded sandstone had been covered with a white stucco made of marble dust
