Art Deco amalgamAlthough this has the tripartite facade, characteristic of Art Deco architecture, it seems more classical and at the same time more Moorish (in decoration). The extended vertical fluting almost looks like fluted pilasters (of the gigantic order--extending over two stories), with rather odd capitals. And the cement brick designs seem like a poor man's import from some Moorish palace, like the Alhambra. | ||
