1000 Collins Avenue

Here the vertical marquee counters the horizontality of the tripartite facade. Bas relief decorations are on the spandrels of the 2nd register, which is a taller floor than the third. Corners are emphasized by the porch columns with the unfluted pilasters above. Although the eyebrows are continuous, they make a right angle at the corner rather than being rounded, as they are on most Art Deco buildings in Miami.
