The curved front of the office wing

Here in the office part of the complex the architects created an exterior with symbolic resonance, though of a more amusing nature; the painted spots in the popular imagination are associated with the mascot of a fire company--a Dalmation.
 
 

Appeal to the popular imagination

Although this complex has a serious function the dalmation spots and the cheerily painted striped columns belie that purpose. See also the "sculpture" garden.
