University Centre, Cambridge University

Howell Killick Partridge and Amis
1963-67

The University Centre is the catering and social centre for graduate members of the University of Cambridge. It houses several bars and eating facilities, a computer center, reading rooms, game rooms, and other services. The style has some resemblance to art brut, seen for example in Rudolph's Art and Architecture Building at Yale University, built a few years earlier.
The structure is comprised of four joined pavilions dressed with stone. The entrance is between the third and fourth pavilion, indicated by a concrete tower.
