Homage to tradition The central public plaza has a long history. Here, the campanile, a fixture of church architecture, provides the focus. Not only its height (ten stories--125 feet) but its color commands attention.
		A friendly setting, even in the August sun Legorreta said: "Architecture should serve society, creating spaces for people of all races, giving them the pleasure of walking, reading, meditating, and conversing."
There are two bright yellow buildings; only the south one is pictured here. I believe it was initially planned as a cafe.
