Georgia-Pacific Center

Skidmore, Owings and Merrill
1982

A unique skyline identity

The setbacks on the east side of this 52-story skyscraper give it a dramatic look. As well as providing office space for the corporate headquarters of Georgia Pacific, it also houses the downtown branch of the High Museum of Art at Georgia-Pacific Center as well as a large white sculpture by Louise Nevelson (which officious guards would not let me photograph).
