Monday Club Building (now San Luis Obispo Women's Club)

Julia Morgan
1933-34

Morgan designed a number of buildings for women's clubs, including the Berkeley City Women's Club, the Century Club in San Francisco, and the Saratoga Foothill Women's Club. Here the style alludes both to the Craftsman Style (see the back with the modified pergola) as well as the Mission tradition (the Mission tile roof, white stucco walls, and decorative iron work).
