The octagonal tower

According to the Michelin Guidebook, this structure in an adjacent courtyard, accounts for the name of the pagoda. It is an octagonal shaped funerary pagoda, built in 1646 by order of the one of the Queens of the Trinh dynasty in honor of the monk Chuyet Chuyet. Its stone pedestal is decorated with reliefs of animals.
