| The original owner of this shop, Jaume Figueras, had it remodeled in the early twentieth century in the modernista style. According to Lluís Permanyer, Antoni Ros, a painter and decorator, assembled experts in various fields, including, sculpture, stained-glass, metalwork, mosaics, marble, carpentry, copper work, and even locksmithing (22). Faced with near-demolition, the building was restored in the 1980's and is currently a bakery and pastry shop. |
