| This building was originally the commercial establishment of the publishing house Editorial Montaner i Simon. Today, after renovation, it is the site of the Fundació Antoni Tàpies. Red brick signals the Mudéjar influence although glazing and iron designs also contribute to the effect of the facade. Sculptural busts and names of literary figures at the top of the facade allude to the function of the office building. Núvol i Cadira (Cloud and Chair), the tube sculpture at the top linking the flanking buildings, is by Antoni Tàpies. | |
