The far end of the museum with the "Moorish" style garden and water featuresStone is sometimes defined as an International style architect in the "decorative" manner. Note here the coffering under the roof and the decorative design on the cornice. | ||
The black and white paving and the plantings are done in the Granadine style (that is, Moorish a la Granada)--and are a tribute to the Queen of Castile, who made possible Columbus' voyage. This Granada Garden is a kind of oasis with a modern bronze bust of Queen Isabella (covered by foliage here). |
