Jail II, Justice Center Complex

From the southwest This modern jail, designed after the institution of the rule that individual cells required natural light, is only one of many buildings in Cleveland designed by the Cleveland firm, Robert P. Madison International--a firm opened in 1954 by African-American Harvard-trained architect Robert Madison.
This jail is part of the four-building complex which houses courts, correction centers, and police headquarters. A bridge joins the jail with other facilities. It is also near the Cleveland City Hall. From the northwest
