| This building, like several other in the Weena area, is excitingly modern, and has contributed to the upscale, cosmopolitan feel of the area. With the new Central Station, and the transportation plaza, combined with the rerouting of vehicular traffic, the Weena area greets tourists and businessmen (who occupy most of the new buildings) with modernity, efficiency, and a sense of cleanliness and safety. The 5-star Manhattan Hotel is a couple of blocks west from this building as is the Hilton to the east. The Delft Gate Building, for a time the tallest building in the Netherlands, is also two blocks away. This office complex is comprised of three glazed half rounded forms. The three buildings are connected by a bridge on the upper floors which terminates in the dramatic arch on the east. | ||
