Buildings G, H, I (from north to south) in the center of the Grand Plaza, begun earlier but surviving buildings about 500-750 CE

This complex may have been considered one structure.
 

Building H with magnificent staircase

Andrew Coe suggests that this complex may have "acted as great altar, with the central Building H the focus of ritual activity" (216).
