Mrs. Robert Watt House

Julia Morgan
1911

More elegant than some of Morgan's early houses, this residence uses features that will become common in her works--the side entrance, the balcony (seen here both on the front and side entrance), and decorative window treatment. The "eared" architrave, the decorative keystones and cornice, and the sense of a balustrade at the top add to the formal beauty of this residence.
