The Baptistry is rectangular and divided into three aisles. The Flagellation and the Way to Calvary are represented on the walls of the apse--by Lorenzo di Pietro. |
| The vaulted ceilings have frescoes representing articles of faith, Prophets and Sybils by Lorenzo di Pietro ("il Vecchietta") executed between 1447-1450 (but repainted in the nineteenth century). | ||
Frescoes in the conch of the apse are by Michele di Matteo da Bologna, 1477, and represent the Agony in the Garden, the Crucifixion, and Lamentation. |
