This venue, especially for music and dance, was designed to respond to its site, a location near the Iowa River to the east with the curving slopes of the building echoing that river and the local geography. The glazing of the structure also allows for light in the lobby areas. (See below.) The building is clad with stainless steel with glass ribbons while wood (cypress) soffits add warmth to the high tech building.
