The 925-foot pedestrian bridge is located at the far east section of Millennium Park. It begins at the the back of the Great Lawn and crosses Columbus Drive to the northern end of Grant Park. The bridge curves and winds with a gentle upward slope as well. It is the only bridge that Frank Gehry has designed.

The bridge forms an acoustical barrier from the noises of the city. It also has a hardwood deck surface. (In December the bridge was closed to pedestrian traffic.)
