This skyscraper is the second tallest bulding designed by Mies and the last American building completed before his death. | ||
International style skyscraperLike most International style buildings, this skyscraper has a glass curtain wall (in aluminum and bronze-tinted glass) but with the variation that the window frames are raised and spandrel panels recessed. The roof is of course flat. |

The baseThere is, however, a sense of a base, with a cantilevered porch. A public plaza surrounds the building. |
