Singapore Coats of Arms

Adopted in 1959, this heraldic symbol represents the Southeast Asian island nation of Singapore. The shield at the center has a white crescent, new moon symbolizing a rising new nation and the supporting animals, a lion and a tiger, represent Singapore and Malaysia respectively.

This striking modern building is close to Potsdamer Platz and features a minimalist facade with subtle patterns in the cladding. An atrium in the center of the building is five stories high with extensive glazing. Note the asymmetric fenestration on the side--below, right.
