Kehoe House

DeWitt Bruyn
1892

Designed by architect DeWitt Bruyn, an assistant to John Norris, this dark red brick mansion has various features: Corinthian columns and rounded verandahs, varied fenestration, Italianate "eyebrows" and pedimented lintels, and a truncated turret that spans the parlor and second levels on the corner of the house. Kehoe made his fortune in iron, so here what might have been wood is designed in iron from Kehoe' s own foundry: columns and balustrades and the railings on the verandah.
