The Queen's Bedchamber

Apparently this room appears today as it did when Marie Antoinette slept here. Shown here is only the area of the bed cordoned off by the gilded railing.

Salon d'Apollon, formerly Chambre du Roi and the salle du Trône (Throne Room)

The king gave his regular hearings here. The ceiling painting by Charles de la Fosse, represents Apollo in his sun chariot with the figure of France in the foreground dressed in a blue robe with the fleur-de-lis patterned on it. In the center are representations of the seasons.
