Agora, Council of Europe Headquarters

Art & Build (Brussels) and Denu et Paradon(Strasbourg)
2008

Agora, the Council of Europe's newest building, is named for the civic Greek site, a central space for public gatherings. This modern building, with enormous front and side glass facades, is roofed with a dramatic cantilevered metal roof. Inside are two atria. This structure is much praised for its efficiency and commitment to environmental responsibility.
