St. Dunstan's

Sir Christopher Wren
1697

Of St. Dunstan-in-the-East, nothing remains except the tower and walls, the rest having been destroyed during World War II. After the war, only the tower was restored, although the walls were left standing. See below with vines growing amid the tracery.

The tower progresses upward in four stages. Gothic pinnacles with decorative blind arcades punctuate the corners of the tower before the final rise to the pointed spire.
