Farrell's building, housing offices and shops, is built over the platforms of the railroad station. Best seen from the river, it resembles a huge train shed or maybe even a clunky ocean liner. (It has even been compared to an oversized jukebox.) It is an interesting blend of post-modern hip (influenced by Michael Graves) and high tech sleekness. It is more subdued in color than many post-modern buildings; clad in gray granite, it does not clash with other buildings on the Embankment.
