Banteay Kdei--page 1 (or four pages)

late 12th-early 13th century, built by Jayavarman VII


This Buddhist temple, probably built over an earlier 10th century temple, is a somewhat smaller version of Ta Prohm and Preah Khan. It has been less reconstructed than some of the Angkor temples so gives an idea of what these ruins looked like when first discovered.
