This home was designed and built by the architect, painter and decorator Paul Cauchie (1875-1952). It is especially notable for the facade with sgraffiti--a color drawing into cement. See, for example, Jugenstile works by Joseph Maria Olbrich and Otto Wagner in Vienna. (See Austria index.)
 

Allegorical figural painting

I am assuming that the female figures represent some sort of personification or symbolic theme--probably something about the arts since one female holds a small sculpture, another a lyre, another a necklace (the craft of jewelry?), and another an architectural model.
