| Gottfried L. Norrman (1846-1909), a Swedish architect who practiced in Atlanta, designed this house for Edward C. Peters, an Atlanta businessman and civic leader. Critics maintain that it is one of the best examples of the Queen Anne style remaining in Atlanta. Deep porches, half-timbering, and tall chimneys associate it with this style. In addition, it has connections with the Shingle style in its use of decorative shingles and its floor plan. This well-preserved two and one-half story red brick residence has been converted to a restaurant. I believe the gazebo is a later addition. | ||
