The Center serves several functions. It is a meditative memorial site with Dr. King's white marble tomb placed in the center of the reflecting pool on a circular brick base. The barrel-vaulted arcade on one side, the Freedom Walkway, leads to Freedom Hall, a two-story exhibit space. Other buildings serve administrative functions for the Center for Nonviolent Social Change. |
