Fox Theater

Marye, Alger and Vinour
1929

This movie theater is in the grand tradition of showplace grand movie palaces. Designed originally as a temple for the Arabic Order of the Mystic Shrine, it was taken over by William Fox when the project had economic problems (Gournay 99).
The Moorish design is evident in the minarets, onion dome, shapes of doors and windows, lattice work, and decorative patterns.
